Welcome Sorors of Northern California
We greet you on behalf of the 27 chapters of the Northern California Coordinating Council for what is certain to be a phenomenal Founders Day Celebration.
Our Founders were visionaries who were more than a symbol of progress – they were a source of progress! They recognized, even as we do today, that change was needed and they established Delta Sigma Theta to lead us, and this nation, through some of the greatest challenges of our time. Now it’s our time – time to reaffirm their fundamental truth of Sisterhood, Scholarship and Service. It's time to seize the future, so that we will lead our communities, and this nation, through the tough and challenging times that lay ahead for us. The Founders established the template for change and gave us the tools to continue the work they began. Let us use our talents to build on the tradition established in 1913 and expand their vision for our future.
As we rededicate and recommit ourselves to the ideals and vision set forth by our 22 Founders, let us reflect on the rich heritage and legacy they gave us and continue to create the change that they envisioned.
